We are looking for a graduate student who is interested in supporting Inuit food sovereignty initiatives in Arviat, Nunavut, related to community-driven goose monitoring and harvesting programs. This is part of a new project co-led by researchers at the Arviat Aqqiumavvik Society, McMaster University, and Environment and Climate Change Canada.
We have funding for a PhD student, to start this fall 2023. We are especially interested in having a student from Nunavut join our team, but others with relevant interests and experiences are welcome to apply.
Please share this opportunity widely, to anyone you think may be interested. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact Gita Ljubicic (gita.ljubicic@mcmaster.ca) by May 31, 2023.
