Congratulations to Regena Sinclair on completing your MA and all your tremendous work with the Sanikiluaq Qikiqtait Steering Committee!

Regena’s research contributes to the Qikiqtait Protected Area development project, in partnership with the Arctic Eider Society and using harvester-collected data in SIKU: The Indigenous Knowledge Social Network. Her dissertation is titled “Sanikiluarmiut harvest data for Qikiqtait Protected Area development: Exploring the capacity of SIKU to support Inuit-led conservation” and it can be downloaded on the Publications or project page.

Regena will also be continuing on with the SUN Team as a PhD student in winter 2024, expanding her research as part of the Goose Monitoring to Restore Inuit Food Sovereignty project.
